Between the Covers: The State Library of Queensland’s Collections
Art Direction: Jason Cupitt
Author: Kay Saunders
The State Library of Queensland is Australia’s most important repository of Queensland’s heritage and culture and a major reference and knowledge centre for Queenslanders. The State Library of Queensland receives more than 10 million visits each year, either in person on-line, to view its treasures – a rich and diverse range of books, journals and magazines, newspapers, government publications, manuscripts, archives, maps, rare books, sheet music, photographs, films, videos, ephemera and electronic resources.
To celebrate the new move in November 2006 to the State Library’s new home on Brisbane’s South Bank, a stunning new publishing program has been commissioned. Entitled Between the Covers… Revealing the State Library of Queensland’s Collections, the book will become an integral part of the State Library’s corporate and community relations activities.
